Throughout the years all my proudest moments have been praise reports of our children. From neighbors telling us how polite our children are. Visiting with teacher’s and hearing what respectful students they are. Or hearing how they stood up for another student who was being bullied.
I have looked at our oldest son’s award ribbon over the years from a race he won at his track meet. And every time it’s brought back those proud feelings of excitement and accomplishment I had for him that day. Or recently, our grandson won the basketball playoffs making it to the championship. After his team struggled with one win in the previous two seasons. Now that gave us something to cheer about.
While there has been so many proud moments throughout our children’s and grandchildren’s lives. It’s still seems to be little things, that make me so proud I want to cry.
The other day, I received a text from our daughter-in law. It contained a copy of an email that was sent from our granddaughter Ellie’s teacher:
That’s our Granddaughter!! I can picture her now with her never ending enthusiasm and energy, cheering for her classmates. Her stature maybe small but her heart is sooo big.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows.”
James 1:17
Ellie you are a true gift from God!!! You are Beautiful inside and out and God has a special plan for you. Always seek Him!
