“Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God
like a little child will never enter it.”
Mark 10:15
The process of entering the kingdom of God isn’t hard, but it isn’t easy either. What does the scripture mean to become “like a little child” especially when you are older? It means peeling away all that makes us strong and independent. It means becoming dependant on our Heavenly Father who grafted us into His Kingdom when we believed in His son Jesus Christ.
However, when we are proud and self-reliant we are deceived into believing we are all we need. It’s only when we humble ourselves and respect God as a Father, will we be able to see the truth. Which is; dependency on an all knowing God is more pleasurable and profitable than being self-reliant like a strong willed child.
As we practice humbling ourselves and rely on God each day, we will find we accomplish more than we ever could on our own.
