Are You A Person Who Reflects A Grateful Heart?
As we approach Thanksgiving week, let’s focus on Jesus and take the time preparing our heart to reflect a grateful attitude. In order to enjoy and receive His blessing of celebration.
Every year on Thanksgiving Day, our family takes turns sharing a scripture and something they are thankful for. It’s my favorite time of the day, and it’s always interesting to see how the Lord has worked in our individual lives throughout the year.
Do You Frequently Remember What God Has Done For You?
I think the key to a grateful heart is remembering what He’s done for us. When I do that, and remind myself of who God is, and the love He has for me; my actions reflect a grateful heart. Which in turn causes me to worship, spend time talking with Him and about Him to others. As a result, my heart fills with joy because I am aware of His presence in my life.
However, life has a way of robbing us from that joy and blessing that will only come from feeling His presence. So, if you are someone who is struggling with an ungrateful heart, whatever the reason might be; I encourage you to turn your focus back to the cross.
Below, are four key points for preparing your heart for gratefulness in your attitude.
4 Points To Focus On In Order To Produce For A Grateful Heart:
- Remember God’s great love
- Reflect on Jesus’ suffering for us
- Take courage in knowing God is always
present with us through His Holy Spirit - Eternal life with no suffering
