Who Can I Trust?

Who Can I Trust?

Have you asked yourself this question before “Who can I trust?” Many of us remember a bittersweet event that took place over 2000 years ago. In today’s day and age we call it “Good Friday.” It was the day Jesus willingly gave His life for all people. But He didn’t stop there 3 days later His Father raised Him from the dead so that whoever believes and comes to Him, will have eternal life with Him.

As we look back on the event, I would like you to think about this question: “what other supposed ‘god’ gave their life for you?” Better yet, Is there another worshipped god whose purpose was to serve, love and sacrifice just for you? My friend, the answer is no!

Who can you trust? Trust Him who gave His life for you.
Sufferings of Jesus

Just as there were many who were appalled at him — his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness
Isaiah 52:14

Jesus is (and was) the only God who served, healed, and suffered on this earth for you. All other worshipped gods are imagined,or are physically buried today. However, not only is Jesus alive, He is also seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for you until He comes again.

So I ask you, who are you trusting in today? Is it the living risen Christ who guides and communicates with His people through His word and spirit?

Do You Publicly Proclaim Who You Trust In?

I was recently reading in the March issue of one of my favorite magazines “Real Simple” a column titled the “Reader Of The Month.” The reader’s name is Katie Kulp, she’s a 26 year old stay-at-home mom from Alabama.

In the column they asked her questions like; “What’s the first thing you notice about a person?”, but, what really impressed me was her answer to this question; “Simplest part of your life?” and I love her response; “My faith. Is it easy? No way. But simple, yes. The instructions are straightforward enough for me: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.

Will you be like Katie today, who put her trust in the only true God? Jesus, the one who gave himself for you so that you may have eternal life through Him?
